Our Beliefs
Providence Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), firmly rooted in the Reformed heritage. We believe that the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

The Sovereignty of God
☀
Salvation by Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, In Christ Alone
We are saved solely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own works or merit.
✝
We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the only inerrant and infallible rule of faith and practice, sufficient for all of life.
God exercises supreme authority over all creation, sovereignly directing all things according to His holy and wise counsel.
Creeds & Confessions
Our doctrine comes from the historic creeds of the early church and the confessions of the Reformation, which provide a clear and pastoral summary of the Holy Scriptures. All our church officers subscribe to the Westminster Standards as a faithful summary of Scriptural teaching.

Our beliefs are not merely abstract concepts, but the foundation for how we live and serve. At Providence, we strive to embody Reformed theology through warm fellowship and ministry both in Spartanburg and abroad.
